Kathmandu, April 10 – At least 39 people have been killed in Israel’s intense airstrikes across various parts of Lebanon.

According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, the recent 24-hour air campaign by Israel has resulted in 39 deaths, numerous injuries, and significant physical damage.

The Israeli military has intensified attacks on multiple regions of Lebanon, particularly in the south and residential areas of Beirut. In the southern city of Saksakiye, seven people, including a young girl, were killed, and 15 others were injured in the strikes.

In Nabatiye, reports indicate that an Israeli drone attacked a motorcycle carrying a Syrian man and his 12-year-old daughter three times. The Ministry of Health stated that the first strike allowed the victims to flee, the second strike killed the father, and the third hit the girl directly. Although the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed they were targeting “Hezbollah fighters,” the casualties were mostly civilians.

The Israeli military asserts that it targets only Hezbollah’s military infrastructure and uses “precision” weapons to minimize civilian harm. However, human rights organizations have criticized the attacks, comparing them to the destruction seen in Gaza, and warned that such actions could constitute “war crimes.”
