At the moment, pressure between Russia and Ukraine are being discussed worldwide. The situation is almost the same between Nepal and India as it is between Russia and Ukraine. The news that only a small percentage of Ukrainians living near the Russian border have invited Russia to invade is not untrue. Just a few years ago, some so-called leaders and activists of the Terai region of our country had appealed to India for blockade. We Nepalese have the bitter reality that the people living in the territory of Nepal have not only put pressure on us to make a constitution in the interest of India. Ukraine is in the same situation as us, but the superpower is facing Russia head on.
The stress between Russia and Ukraine have raised fears of a third world war. Russia has deployed 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border with state-of-the-art weapons. Ukraine is not in a position to withstand Russia’s attack alone. The United States and Britain have offered military assistance to Ukraine. In this context, Ukraine is also shouting war with the superpower Russia. If there is a war, only physical weapons will not be used. Not only chemical weapons but more serious biological weapons will be used than Corana. Its effects are not limited to Russia and Ukraine. The whole world will not be able to live. The possibility of using lethal biological and chemical weapons with China and North Korea cannot be ruled out. Many countries in the world have nuclear weapons. There are many countries in the world that have stockpiled nuclear weapons that could destroy the world. But no one is interested in making the world free of nuclear and biological weapons.
Nepal is not untouched when the world is in such a dangerous situation. At this time, the US is imposing strict conditions in the name of MCC. A few kilometers of MCC’s 500 million power transmission line and a few kilometers of roads will not change the face of Nepal. The budget that can do so much is with the Nepal Electricity Authority. Experts argue that even if the corruption in the customs is halved, the revenue will increase by Rs 200 billion annually. Some people are on the streets arguing that the condition of holding the country hostage for 55 billion is not acceptable. In this matter, we Nepalese people need to unite, not split. However, for the defense of the British Empire and the colony, about 200 years old Nepalese (Gorkhali) have shed blood and sweat. If we can put pressure for its compensation, then 12 more in Nepal Trillions of rupees enter. Ironically, those in government are unaware.
It is not that the MCC agreement does not contain some complex terms, but these complex terms are compounded by our own weaknesses. Larger amounts have already been received in the form of grants. The annual revenue of 10-12 trillion rupees also rises. If this money had been utilized well, if it had not gone into the pockets of the leaders, all the physical infrastructures of development would have been built in our country by now. But due to corruption and slowness in development projects, Nepal could not progress. It seems that strict conditions have been laid down in the MCC to prevent corruption and slowness. It is ridiculous to say that the five-year-old MCC project is taking the country hostage. The protest was staged as the amount of assistance under MCC was not to be embezzled.
One does not become a nationalist by opposing another’s country. A nationalist is one who takes the initiative to make the nation prosperous. We have water resources. We have the capacity to generate about 80,000 MW of hydropower. If we have 15-20 thousand megawatts, we will be in trouble. If the attempt to earn foreign exchange by selling the remaining electricity is called as treasonous, our decline is sure to increase. We have as much uranium as the United States. Why use abusive language?
If we want to address our neighbors by developing weapons, we have learned from North Korea. There are many lessons to be learned from Israel. For this, Nepal has to think in time. Geography has given us something. We have the condition to make big caves in the caves of the hills and rocks. We also have natural bunkers. In the event of a major war, we can take security measures to operate the hospital inside the cave. The Taliban have been able to oust US troops because of geography. Our geographical location is more conducive to guerrilla warfare than Afghanistan.

Unfortunately, we are caught up in the conspiracy of our neighbors to make us economically poor and to cause strife among us. This is the time for us to show, not by speaking, but from within. But the people are deeply frustrated as the tendency to keep poor by not using the resources of their country and pushing the young and educated citizens abroad without providing employment. RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden’s statement is true. In fact, the people are saying that a thief has come as soon as they see a leader. Why are our leaders still not conscious?
If the staff, leaders and cadres at the policy making level of our country do not show wisdom in time, then the civil war is not far off. What is the outcome of civil war? Not to mention here. In the current civil war, domestic weapons will not be used as they were two hundred years ago. Chemical and biological weapons will also be used. If there is a civil war, there will be no country called Nepal. China and India share. Signs of that have already been seen. The stage that European countries have gone through two hundred years ago, the stage that African countries have gone through today, is approaching Nepal.
