The rise of Joe Biden in the United States, the world’s superpower, has signaled the end of corrupt, evil, and arrogant rulers. Now the world is approaching the end of the dictatorial leaders of Nepal like Kim Jong Un who are wearing the shell of democracy. The dictators of Nepal are shining like the light that has been going out for a while.

There is an example that the river returns to its old place every 12 years. In the case of Nepal too, there are many instances of political upheaval every ten years. The arrest of Ram Chandra Poudel, a senior Nepali Congress leader who has contested for the post of Prime Minister 18 times, has signaled that the time has come for political change. Poudel was prevented from going to his home district to participate in the general program due to the democratic system of governance. What kind of governance system has been established in the name of democracy? Poudel must have understood that now.
In the case of Nepal, even if the characters of the regime change, the trend does not seem to have changed. It looked like old wine was kept in a new bottle. Take, for example, the post-unification situation. For a long time after the demise of nation-builder Prithvi Narayan Shah, the country was caught in such a vicious cycle that no prime minister could die in his time. Eventually, Nepal was forced to sign the Sugauli Treaty with the British. Only one-third of Nepal’s territory was lost, becoming a semi-British colony. Breaking that vicious cycle, Jung Bahadur Rana took power. He ended the vicious cycle of killing the Prime Minister in a famine. In his time, Jung Bahadur did a lot of work. The British carpeted the border with India. Among the territories lost in the Sugauli Treaty are Kailali, Kanchanpur, Banke, Bardia brought back. The Rana rule started by Jung Bahadur lasted for 104 years. The longest political stability in the modern history of Nepal took place during this period. But the Rana rulers could not develop according to the times. The Rana revolution fell in 2007 with the activism of the Nepali Congress and the King. But when the interests of the king and the Congress clashed, the country was again plunged into political instability. The Nepali Congress took the line that the rights exercised by the Rana should be exercised by the people’s elected representatives. Meanwhile, the king thought that the rights seized by the Rana from his ancestors had returned to him. Due to this confrontation, the scandal of 2017 BS took place. By imprisoning the representatives of the people, the kings ruled for 30 years. But when the interests of the king and the Congress clashed, the country was again plunged into political instability. From the point of view of development and social consciousness, 30 years of Panchayat rule is considered better than 104 years of Rana rule. But due to the high level of consciousness of the people, the Panchayat autocracy could not survive. Panchayat was overthrown by the movement of 2046 BS. The multi-party parliamentary system was restored in the country. People’s elected government was established. But the people could not feel the working style of the rulers different from that of the Rana and the Panchayat. The people became dissatisfied. Seizing the opportunity of this dissatisfaction, King Gyanendra took the ruling power in his hands. The parties agitated again. India supported the movement on the condition that the king is overthrown. The monarchy was overthrown due to cooperation with India. It has been 12 years since the overthrow of the monarchy. The people have again taken to the streets to restore the monarchy.
It is not the basic principle of the communists to come to power through periodic elections by participating in the multi-party competition. The basic principle of the communists is to seize power by force and then rule forever. But in Nepal, the communists were integrated into the multi-party parliamentary system. Participated in periodic elections. Became part of the multi-party system. This was a positive thing for democracy. But the communists of Nepal are fake. There are other foreigners. The country must be protected, the country must be developed, the people must be given happiness and peace. After coming to power, they are organized under the guise of communists to seize the resources of the state and share them. This mystery has now been uncovered.
It is not a common problem for the ruling party to fall into the hands of a group of foreigners. The time has come for the Nepali people to get up. There is no point in getting up after the time has passed. Ganeshman Singh had termed the tendency of the Nepali people as sheep. Yes, that’s what it looks like. In a few days, people have started waking up. This is a good sign. If Nepal’s future is not bleak, the movement that has just begun will gain momentum. Monarchy or, Democracy? There is no voice for that option now. The current system of governance is a nominal democracy. Real democracy is not happening. In the case of Nepal, real democracy is a democracy with a monarchy like the United Kingdom. That is a democracy with nationality. Today’s democracy is a democracy without nationality. Democracy without nationality is like a living corpse. Ninety percent of the people are in favor of democracy, including the king. But for this, the leadership of the movement must be honest. The group led by Kamal Thapa is carrying the slogan of cow and Hindutva from east to west. This group has lost the trust of the people. The people will not support this movement if it is led by the tendency to collaborate with the communists and become a follower of Oli. Even if the movement led by such people succeeds, there will be a vicious cycle in the country
It was this group that helped the Republicans by trapping the then King Gyanendra. The group is led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The current battle between the two factions in the ruling CPN (Maoist) is between those who advocate Holy Wine and those who advocate Rotivati’s relationship. There is also a third group following the lead of the northern neighbor. This third group is in a position to strengthen the current that accompanies it. That’s what the Chinese ambassador’s door-to-door program is all about. Such a trend makes the country Sikkim or Tibet. Both Tibet and Sikkim had monarchies. After the betrayal of the king’s allies, China succeeded in occupying Tibet by deploying troops directly. Here in Sikkim, India initially overthrew the monarchy and established a fake democracy like in present-day Nepal. The party and its leaders were merged into their own country through a referendum. Though the voice of Tibet independence is raised today, the voice of Sikkim independence has not been raised. BP Koirala, a visionary politician, had pointed out in 2033 BS that India was in danger of adopting the Sikkim model in the context of Nepal. For the same reason, BP Koirala’s vision was to keep the monarchy as the country’s defense armor. But after BP’s death, leaders of his party, the Nepali Congress, were sold out.
Just as it was easier for a goat to cut off the tail of a goat, the leaders of the Nepali Congress went to the republic and made the Indian design easier. The leaders of the Nepali Congress are currently suffering the consequences. The result that Ram Chandra Poudel suffered while visiting his home district is a sin. Congress leaders still have a long way to go to repay the sin of betraying BP and ruining the country. This is just the beginning. Now many arousals will start biting the Congress leaders. And only then will the Congress leaders be compelled to correct the mistake made in the republic.
Sooner or later, Congress leaders will be forced to join the movement for the restoration of the monarchy. The longer the delay, the more the Congress and the country suffer. Therefore, the Nepali Congress should correct the mistake as soon as possible and start a campaign to restore the monarchy. The country is in a position to survive with Congress taking the lead in this movement. Because there is still no shortage of honest leaders and cadres in the Congress. The faith of the people is not dead. The international community also sees Congress as a responsible party. The organization of the Nepali Congress has been uninterrupted for the last 75 years up to every village toll. By making good use of this power, Congress will return to its old state. Let the Congress leaders realize that the party has shrunk because of making a mistake in the republic. There is no point in coming after a long time.
