The constitution has put education and health on the list of fundamental rights of the people. But some mafias in the country have traded education and health under the protection of the government. In a sense, it is like buying a certificate. Those who do not have money, their sons and daughters, no matter how talented and qualified, do not get to study medicine. Those who became doctors on the strength of money did not go to remote villages, due to which remote patients die without treatment. Hospitals in the city are city-centric, but patients have to pay very expensive fees. Doctors have to charge high fees to raise the investment in their studies.
To solve this problem, Dr. KC has even suggested measures. The solution is to provide affordable medical education to meritorious students in remote areas and to make legal arrangements for them to serve for a certain number of years at their own expense. This measure is not complicated to follow. But for this Dr. KC has been on hunger strike for 19 times. After a long hunger strike, all-round pressure arises, and the government comes to its knees.
